Whole Hog-SPRING Share (Deposit)
This deposit reserves a pork share that will be ready for your freezer at the end of May, 2025.
Almost A Cattle Company requires a non-refundable deposit to reserve your hog share. The deposit goes towards your order total and the remaining balance will be paid to Almost A Cattle Company once we know the final hanging weight on the harvest day and prior to picking up your meat from the processor.
The butcher fees will be paid separately to the processor on the day you pick up your meat.
$5.10 per pound by the hanging weight. (Average whole hog hanging weights will be 160-250 pounds)
Processing fees paid separately to the butcher shop when you pickup the meat include:
Mobile harvest fee $105
Disposal/Invoice fee $25.00
Cut/wrap by the hanging weight .93 per pound.
Curing is $1.15 per pound that you choose to have cured.
Example: 200 pound hanging weight and 30 pounds cured meat would amount to approximately $350
Total approximate investment for a 200 pound hanging weight hog=$1370.00

We raise Idaho Pasture pigs for pork. IPPs have upturned noses that allow them to graze on grass and forage. Pastured grazing in combination with an amazing, locally sourced grain yields a fantastic quality of meat that is… wonderfully marbled, juicy and high in Vitamin E, Vitamin D and Omega-3 for having spent their life outdoors and on pasture. Average range of harvest hanging weights will be from 160 to 250 pounds.
Our hogs that are sold as pork are raised without added hormones or antibiotics.
